Mapinduzi Hockey Tournament Report 2006
In January of 2006 the Mapinduzi Hockey Tournament was held in Moshi from 13th to 15th Jan 2006. This tournament was organized by the Tanzania Hockey Association and was sponsored by Sikh Club. The six participating teams were:

PRISONS FROM DSM
ARUSHA TWIGAS
MOSHI KHALSA A
MOSHI KHALSA B
Hosted this time by Moshi Khalsa on murram surface at the SIKH CLUB. The Mapinduzi Hockey Tournament is officially recognised as the National Championship Tournament and the Winners go on to represent Tanzania in International Competition such as the Africa Club Championship.
This years tournament saw 4 teams reach the semi-finals- Moshi Khalsa A & B, Prisons and Arusha Twigas. In the final Moshi Khalsa’s home field advantage enabled them to beat Arusha Twigas to become the 2006 Tanzanian Club Champions.
Prisons beat Moshi Khalsa B to finish in 3rd sport.
